ACPN Pediatric Neurosciences service Profile
Neurological problems manifest differently in children. Professionals at the ACPN pediatric neurosciences center apply broad clinical experience, a gentle manner and a keen sense of observation to diagnose and treat conditions such as headaches, seizure disorders, movement disorders, cerebral palsy and developmental delay.
ACPN Pediatric neurosciences service provides comprehensive neurological care for infants, children and adolescents with a wide spectrum of neurological disorders. Our team of Pediatric neurologist, neurophysiologist, physiotherapist, clinical psychologists and nurses work together to manage the unique needs of each child and family. Our team is readily accessible to young patients and their families, and responds quickly to referring physicians and keeps them informed of their patient’s progress.
The Pediatric neurosciences service at ACPN is multidisciplinary by nature. All professionals involved consult with one another to develop treatment plans specifically tailored to each patient.
Pediatric neurological disorders are diagnosed through a comprehensive clinical evaluation of the patient’s history and symptoms. Sometimes specific tests are needed, for instance, electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies (NCS) or Magnetic resonance Imaging (MRI). The service has full access to the state-of-the-art neurophysiological modalities that are child friendly.
